Crowns

Crowns have many uses. They are used in both general dentistry and cosmetic dentistry. They can be used to mend a broken-off tooth or a damaged tooth. Dental crowns are used to help hold partials in place or help with severely discolored teeth. Our Coppell general dentistry team works with our patient to give them crowns that are the same color as their own teeth, to give a more natural look. There are various reasons for needing a crown. We want to make your crown perfectly natural so that it won't stand out. In fact, we use crowns in our cosmetic dentistry to give our patients the perfect smile.

Fillings

Filling and overall dental technology have come a long way in recent years.  The fillings of today are not the fillings they used to be.  Many times you can't tell that someone actually has a filling. Fillings are used to repair a cavity and come in a wide range of different sizes, shapes, and colors. To start, we drill out the decay in the tooth to prepare the tooth for the filling.  This will prevent further damage to your tooth from the decay that formed the cavity.  The filling will then be fit to your bite so that you won't even notice that you have it. Fillings are very common and not super painful.

Root Canals

Root canals happen when the cavity has gone so deep that it has affected the root of the tooth. They often can be avoided if you visit your dentist regularly and do the proper maintenance.  When the damage runs too deep, the root will have to be removed through a root canal.  Typically if you have a root canal, the tooth will become more brittle over time.  This means, eventually, the tooth might need a crown.  If the tooth is a tooth in the back that is used for chewing many times, Dr. Holovnia will recommend doing a crown at the time of the root canal to ensure that your tooth will be strong and not crack. Our dental office covers Coppell general dentistry. Contact our friendly team if you have concerns regarding your tooth condition.

Extractions

Tooth extractions occur for a variety of reasons.  You could be needing more room on your jaw, or maybe your wisdom teeth are coming in crooked.  Many times a crowded mouth needs more room to help with crooked teeth.  Tooth extractions occur when you have a tooth that is beyond repair.  Many times a patient will choose a tooth extraction over a root canal and dental crown. However, this will be a choice that will be discussed with Dr. Holovnia to determine what is in your best interest.  In fact, each option will be offered to our patients to ensure that they are educated to make the very best decision possible.

As an award-winning cosmetic dentist, Dr. Holovnia offers both general dentistry and cosmetic dentistry to his patients.  We offer these services to the patients of Coppell, Fort Worth, and the Dallas area.  We understand that it is important that you find the right dentist for your needs. After all, you only have one smile, and you need to take care of it.  We will do everything to help you maintain your proper oral health.  We will take the time to go over your options and treatment plans. At that time, we can discuss payment options and solutions as well.  Don't let the cost affect your oral health. There are plenty of options to look into.
